Conference Venue
The venue of OSS2015 will be the 19th century Villa Vittoria, part of the Palazzo dei Congressi boasts a prestigious auditorium which can host up to 1,000 people, with 920 square metres available for exhibitions, as well as various halls with a capacity from 50 to 200 seats, located on the 4 floors of the villa.
Surrounded by a centuries-old park, Palazzo dei Congressi and the Limonaia (Lemon House) nearby are located in front of Palazzo degli Affari.
How to Reach the Venue
By Plane
Florence is well-served by the international airport ‘Amerigo Vespucci’, located in the north-west suburban area of Florence. There are many airlines arriving there and connecting the city to some of the most important European airports. The airport is only 4 km from the city centre, which can be easily reached by taxi or with the Ataf/Sita ‘Vola in Bus’ shuttle service (around 15/20 minutes), connecting the airport to the main central railway station of Santa Maria Novella.

After the upgrading of the railway line, Florence is well-connected to Rome, in 1 hour and 30 minutes, Milan, in just 1 hour and 40 minutes, and Bologna (35 minutes). Hence, Milan Linate/Malpensa and Boblogna airports are a stop of easy access to Florence.

By Train
The venue is only 140 meters from the rail station, so you can take a bus with destination Firenze Santa Maria Novella Station, Stazione SMN.
Florence is well-connected with the high-speed trains and it is middle-way between Milan and Rome. Two companies are supplying the service:
City buses (orange buses, the newer models are a deep purple and white color) are run by ATAF and LI-NEA. A single-use ticket is 90 minute and can be purchased from authorized sales points bars, tobacconists or any shop with “ATAF” sticker and from the ATAF booth in Piazza Stazione.
